The Working Environment
Shawa has grown from a very modest beginning in 2002 to the very rapidly expanding £ multi-million business we find today. However, we like to think that we have kept the friendly, close knit feel that we began with.
Most of the people in Shawa know many other people in other departments and even other branches globally. We encourage people to meet in person if possible, rather than rely on email and to give each other a much more personal experience while at work.
All of our offices and workshops are modern, clean and friendly facilities.
Training & Development
Here at Shawa we have a strong reliance on in-house training and learning through doing. Rather than sit you in a classroom for a week or two and use Powerpoint to show you endless screens and advice, we prefer to coach you as you do the job.
This may seem a little daunting at first, but with the support and help of the people around you including your line manager, you will find that your learning curve soon picks up.
We also aim to develop our people as much as possible. If you join us, you will find that many of the senior managers within the organisation had humble beginnings and have progressed through the ranks. We are always looking for people with the right attitude and potential to take the next step and take the business on with them.
